As the school year came to a close, Ouachita Hills College celebrated the graduating class of 2019. This year five graduates crossed the stage to receive their diplomas. Our graduates in Education are Sophia Soler, Sharon Farias and Talaura Caulkins. Jordan Moore graduated with his Bachelor of Theology degree and Rebeca Alberto graduated with a degree in Christian Business Management.
Our speaker for the weekend was Elder Jay Gallimore. He gave a series of sermons on righteousness by faith, which was the theme chosen by this year’s graduating class. We were blessed by Elder Gallimore’s inspiring messages at our Friday evening consecration service, Sabbath divine service and Sunday’s commencement program.
The Sabbath afternoon program featured a selection of music presented by our college students. It was beautiful to hear students praising God together in song. The evening program included a time for staff and the graduates’ families to read special tribute letters to each graduate. On Sunday morning our five graduates shook hands with college president Magda Rodriguez as they received their diplomas.
Our prayer is that each one of our graduates will go forward in faith, trusting God to lead in their lives.
