September 30^th began the first colporteur trip of the year.  About forty college students went to three locations: Antlers, OK; Gentry, AR; and Bristol, TN.  During our three-week stay, we knocked on thousands of doors and sold countless books containing the Word of Life.  Many people signed up for Bible studies, as well, giving the churches connections with people searching for the truth.

The colporteur work is an exciting opportunity to work for the Lord.  Not only is it a method of reaching people wherever they are, but it’s a mission work that can be done by anyone.  Canvassing is wonderful because it does not require a degree or extensive training; we can get out and start working almost immediately.  It is also character building.  As we work for God, we can not only reach hungering souls but we can also grow closer to Jesus ourselves.

Our colporteur trip was such a blessing to us all.  Students have countless stories they can tell, but overall, we’re thankful that God has given us the opportunity to work for Him during our education.
