Texas Conference Hires Four Graduates
The Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, which includes the eastern two-thirds of Texas, has recently welcomed four graduates from Ouachita Hills College into their pastoral ranks. Pr. Ruben Caro (shown fourth from left to right in picture above), 2016 graduate, began pastoring in the Waller SDA church, located northwest of Houston, the same year he graduated. You can read his family's archived story here of how God open the doors to Texas. The next graduate that was hired was Pr. Ernesto Illingsworth (shown third from left to right). He, his wife, and 2 girls, were asked to begin ministry for the Linden and Marshall SDA churches a week after graduation in 2017. Also hired in May of 2017 after graduation was Pr. Brody Woodard (first from left to right), who began pastoring at the Marietta New Hope and Atlanta SDA churches. The Dubon family, 6 strong, moved this past August to Texas as Pr. Mark Dubon (second from left to right), 2016 graduate, embarked on the pastoral journey with the Eastland, Stephenville, and Hico SDA churches. He had previously been serving as a Bible worker for the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference in Minden, Louisiana, when God called them to serve in Texas.
Great and beautiful things have been happening at each of these churches, from 70-year-olds knocking on doors and giving Bible studies to canvassers from OHC coming to join the battle. You are personally invited to come visit their churches, and see "what hath God wrought!"
