Ouachita healthy living center
The Ouachita Healthy Living Center is a place to learn a healthy lifestyle that will lead to optimum health. Utilizing the proven modalities of good nutrition, adequate exercise and rest, fresh air and sunlight, pure water, the appropriate combination of will power and God's help, the participant will experience observable improvement in physical, mental, social and mental health. These benefits apply to conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, depression, anxiety, arthritis and many others.
Our intent is to integrate Ouachita Hills College and Academy students in as many aspects of the program as possible – leading out in exercise, helping with food preparation, teaching certain segments of health, working with guests in the garden, leading worship services, and providing massage.
Pasture, ponds and wooded hills make up the tranquil views from the Ouachita Healthy Living Center. Our facility has four guest rooms, each one able to acommodate 1-2 persons comfortably. Classes will be held in the large central living area. Our kitchen will be a classroom as well as participants learn to prepare healthy meals.
